Indianapolis, IN – 18 August 2025 – FD-IX (Fiber Data Internet Exchange) today announced the launch of a new Ookla® Speedtest® server on its Indianapolis Internet Exchange fabric, providing ISPs, enterprises, and network engineers with a high-capacity platform to measure real-world connectivity performance. This new deployment is equipped with a 100-gigabit connection, enabling unprecedented testing capacity for the Midwest region. Early results already show multi-gigabit test speeds being delivered to users across various networks, highlighting the robust throughput and low-latency design of the FD-IX fabric.

The Indianapolis Speedtest server is part of FD-IX’s ongoing investment in infrastructure to help ISPs and connected organizations validate service quality, troubleshoot issues, and benchmark performance at the interconnection point. To run a test against the new FD-IX Indianapolis server, users can visit Speedtest.net, click Change Server, and select “FD-IX Indianapolis” from the server list or search for FD-IX. FD-IX Indianapolis should be the first result.
